For information about some safety projects that are now under design and will be constructed within a year or two, join us at: October 22nd, 2012 Montavilla Methodist Church 232 SE 80th 7:00 PM Two people from ODOT will present the current plans for safety improvements at two locations: 82nd and Division and 82nd and Stark/Washington. Come to see what is proposed and hear what the project leader and traffic engineers have to say. Also, if you stick around after the ODOT presentation, at about 7:45 or 8:00, we will use the remaining time to talk about the "82nd Avenue of Roses High Crash Corridor Safety Plan". Meeting Announcement: 82nd Avenue Transportation Workshop Purpose: To learn about the process needed to transfer jurisdiction of 82nd Avenue from ODOT to the City of Portland; and to start that process moving. Format: Panel discussion with public officials and state legislators about how to move ahead on this issue. Also, information on ODOT's currently planned safety projects for 82nd will be available. The Montavilla Neighborhood Association meets at 7:30 pm on the second Monday of every month at United Methodist Church at 232 SE 80th. Parking, refreshments, and free childcare available. Next meeting is Monday September 10th at 7:30pm! Berrydale Concerts Parks Chair Roger Warren reported that acts have been confirmed for the Berrydale Park concerts, which are being produced in conjunction with the summer series at Mt. Tabor. On Aug. 23, Lewi Longmire will perform followed Stolen Sweets on Aug. 30. Concert times are set to begin on both dates at 6:30 pm. Berrydale Park park is located at the corner of SE 92nd and Taylor. Montavilla Neighborhood Association Rummage Sale

Your Montavilla Neighborhood Association is holding a rummage sale this Saturday, July 21, 8:00 – 3:30 at City Blessing Church (78th & Glisan). This event will raise funds for efforts such as Friends of Trees plantings, neighborhood events and to fund interesting projects that neighbors bring to our attention. We’ll have some refreshments and snacks on hand, so please stop by! Do you have something to donate to the sale? If so we’re seeking donations of all items in good condition.
